Rihanna is a Caribbean singer born in 1988 in Barbados (Parish of St. Micheal). Her entire name is Robyn "Rihanna" Fenty.

She started in high school singing songs with her friends. She won her school beauty & talent pageant she never realized how talented she really was.

She's introduced, with a friend's help, in a New York music producer, who invited her to do to New York and record some tracks.

Once in New York, Rihanna and her producers put a dozen of songs, inspired by the dancehall and reggae that is embedded in Rihanna's rich musical culture, then they put fresh R&B sound.

Her first hit record was ''Pon de replay''. She sold 1 million copies worldwide of the first album, ''Music of the sun''!!!

Now with her second album (A Girl Like Me) out in the shops, Rihanna has also released 2 new tracks, the first is titled "SOS (Rescue Me) which has a hypnotic beat and enticing melody.

She said that she's got excited when she first heard the track (SOS) and three days later, it was recorded. Rihanna has also recently revealed that her next release will be "We Ride". Another song which has hit is ''Unfaithful'', but the most wanted is ''SOS''.
